The Department of Finance
The Department of Finance's main role is to implement Government policy and to advise and support the Minister for Finance and the Government on the economic and financial management of the State and the overall management and development of the public sector.
The departments mission is:
"to promote a growing economy which will deliver a high level of sustainable employment, social progress and living standards."
How the Department works:
To achieve this mission statement, the work of the Department of finance is divided between six main divisions:
- Banking, Finance and International Division (BFID)
- Budget and Economic Division (BED)
- Public Expenditure Division (PED)
- Personnel and Remuneration Division (PRD)
- Organisation, Management and Training Division (OMTD)
- Corporate Services Division (CSD)
